The School of Nursing and Public Health offers a range of courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level designed to enable students to achieve a range of professional goals and aspirations. Courses offered cover a wide spectrum of the health area.
Post
Graduate programs
All post graduate courses are offered in distance mode and/or on-line, and
some are conducted offshore in South East Asia and Europe. Post graduate study
in public health includes the following courses:
• Graduate Certificates in (addiction studies, Occupational Safety and
health. Health and Ecology, Environmental Health, Health Promotion, Generic
Public Health).
• Postgraduate Diplomas (as above)
• Master of Public Health (research and coursework)
• Master of Health Service Management (coursework)
• Professional Masters in Occupational and Environmental Safety and
Health
• Doctor of Philosophy (Public Health)
Undergraduate
course:
The undergraduate program is designed to prepare quality graduates able to
register with appropriate professional boards and to practice as critical
thinkers and problem solvers and to be life-long learners. The Bachelor of
Health Science course covers major and / or minor streams in health promotion,
addiction studies, nutrition and biomedical sciences. There is also an Environmental
Health major which is located in the School of Natural Sciences and is taught
across both schools.
